ACTIVE MEMBER: A person of good character, eighteen(18) years of age or over without regard to Race, Sex, or National Origin. An Active Member is expected to respond to emergency calls, attend training sessions, attend monthly meetings, and help with fundraising events when ever available. You will be put on probation for the first 3 months. After which you’ll meet with the membership committee for review. The company reserves the right to discontinue your membership if you fall under that type criteria which will be explained to you when joining. No experience needed, training will be provided and duties will vary on your level of knowledge. This will increase as you get more experience, but only to the level you are comfortable with.

JUNIOR MEMBER: A person can be accepted provided they are between the age of fourteen(14) and seventeen(17) years old. Their application must be accompanied by a parental or guardian consent form. Upon acceptance they must also furnish a work permit from their home school district and they must comply with the PA “Child Labor Law”, Act of 1915, P>L>286, No.177 as amended. They will be under strict supervision by the Fire Chief while at the fire house or any event or incident the company is participating at or in. Strict rules do apply while on an emergency call.

ACTIVE SOCIAL MEMBER: This can be any person uniting with the Fire Company to help with those activities that support the company, normally other than fire and rescue calls. You’ll be able to help at any fundraising events. If you enjoy the presence of others while cooking, cleaning, baking, or doing yard work, among other things, we can surely use your help.

For more information feel free to stop by the fire house anytime. We’d be glad to answer your questions or get you an application for membership.
